Wild Alchemy

Wild Alchemy is a three-dish food experience designed to tell the story of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta’s past, present, and future. Each dish reimagines local ingredients to reflect key ecological and cultural moments.
The Cypress Festival

The Cypress Festival is a lantern festival that celebrates the bald cypress as an important keystone species that supports over 1000 different organisms in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. The project features a new lantern design made from a bio-composite composed of cypress needles.
Instructor 2025
Devon Ward is a designer, artist, and educator who works across multiple creative fields including design, interactive media, and experimental art. His research focuses on design as an expanding field that blends new technologies, materials, theories, aesthetics, and methods to adapt to changing environments. He is Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Auburn University where he teaches design and interactive media.
