Living Records is a speculative project exploring the gaps in history preserved through technology, memory, and legacy. It highlights what’s remembered, like a President’s words inspiring the moon landing, and what’s forgotten, such as the contributions of underrepresented individuals who made the journey possible. The project proposes biologically fabricated records—like bacterial cellulose cassette tapes and biofabricated memory circuits—to center forgotten histories and the unspoken labor behind progress, resisting the erasure of crucial stories.
